It’s 5 A.M. and the alarm just went off. Is it a false alarm, the delivery guy or a family member?
The image sensor can help.
The Image Sensor is a pet-immune motion sensor with a built-in camera and night vision. When installed near keypads and entry points, it can automatically send a picture to your smartphone when:
The alarm goes off – see who was at the keypad, the door or walking around to help determine if you need the police or not.
The alarm is armed or disarmed – get a photographic record of who last used the alarm, who forgot to arm, or when a family member makes it home safely.
Motion is detected while you’re away.
You can also grab a picture at any time with the “peek in” feature. The image sensor is battery powered, completely wireless and uses the cellular network for communication, so you will get a picture even if the power is out or the internet is down.
Because it integrates with your existing alarm system, you use the same remote control app on your smartphone to receive and view your images.
The video plan for the image sensor is automatically included in every Westechs residential plan at no charge and can be added at a low cost to our commercial plans.
It’s important to note that while the image sensor is an excellent addition to your alarm system, it is a still-picture camera and not a security or continuous feed camera. You can read more about our dedicated security cameras here.
