Install and configure the Uniview UNV-Link User App

NOTICE: These steps should be performed by the business owner as it links the recorder to a master account. This master account can then share camera access with other employees. IF THE ACCOUNT USED FOR THIS SETUP BECOMES UNAVAILABLE (FOR EXAMPLE – IF AN EMPLOYEE LEAVES), A SERVICE CALL MAY BE REQUIRED TO RESET THE RECORDER TO ACCOMMODATE A NEW MASTER ACCOUNT.
All effort is made to provide complete and accurate information within this guide. However, due to the ever-changing nature of technology some of the information may be out of date. If you purchased security cameras from Westechs, please contact us for help setting up your apps.
1. Android users: download and install “UNV Link User” by Observint Technologies from the Google Play Store.
2. Apple users: download and install “UNV Link User” by Observint Technologies from the Apple App Store.
3. Once installed, open up the app. The app may ask for permission to send you notifications and other options.
4. You might be asked to agree to terms of service and so on. You must agree to continue to use the app.
5. Swipe through the various “Team Selection”, “Simple/Standard…” and “Rich…” screens. Tap “Try Now”.
6. Tap the “Log in/Sign Up” button.
7. Tap “Sign Up”
8. Enter your e-mail address and a password. Then tap “Send Code”.
9. Solve the puzzle on the “Security Verification” screen. In this example, tap the symbols in order on the image that appear in the orange portion of the screen. If the image seems too difficult, tap the “Refresh” icon to generate a new one. When done tapping the symbols in order, tap the blue “OK” button.
10. Open your email and look for “EZCloud – Verification Code.” Type this numerical code into the middle field. If you do not receive the email please check your junk or spam folder. If you still do not receive the email, you can tap “Resend” once the counter reaches zero.
11. Tap to check off the “I have read…” and then tap “Sign Up”.
12. Tap “Add Device” and approve camera access if asked. Scan the QR code provided on the Westechs welcome sheet. If you do not have this sheet, contact us. You can also find this QR code printed on a sticker on the bottom or top of the recorder.
13. On the new “Add Device” screen, leave everything as is and tap “OK”.
14. In the “Enter the device name” field, enter a description that identifies this system. For example, you could call it “Office” or “County Road 100”; whatever helps you remember which camera system this is.
15. The app will take up to a minute to connect to your camera system. Pull down in the middle of screen and release to refresh, or force-close and re-open the app. The camera system will soon show that it is online with a green light and display the number of connected cameras.
