Intercom allows you to place a quick call that automatically uses speakerphone on the recipient’s side
NOTE: Depending on your organization’s privacy preferences, the person receiving the intercom may need to un-mute their phone before they are able to respond to you.
Place an Intercom Call
Dial *5 followed by the desired extension. For example, to intercom extension 100, dial *5100.
The recipient will hear an intercom tone and the call is now connected. Simply hang up when done. If the person has their Do Not Disturb enabled, the intercom will be rejected.
Intercom is useful for a simple person to person call. If you need to intercom multiple phones at once, use Paging.
