Setup and Enroll Duo Multi-Factor
Setup Your Duo Multi-Factor Account
When you attempt to sign into a Duo-protected resource a push notification will be sent to your smartphone. Once you tap the allow button the sign-in is complete. This provides a second or “dual factor” authentication to help increase security.
1-You will receive an email from Duo inviting you to complete the enrollment. The email will come from “Duo Security Enrollment” with an address of “firstname.lastname@example.org”.
The email will include a link to get started. Click this link to visit the Duo website.
2-Once the webpage loads click the “Start Setup” button.
3-Choose “Mobile phone” and click “Continue”.
4-Enter your 10 digit phone number, check the box to confirm its accuracy and click “Continue”.
5-Choose your phone type and click “Continue”.
6-Add the Duo mobile app from your App Store:
Duo on Apple Store
Duo on Google Play
7-Open the Duo app
8-If prompted it is important to allow notifications from th app.
9-Tap “Add Account”. You may be asked if Duo can use the camera in order to scan codes. Scan the QR code to add the account.
10-When asked about “When I login options”, we recommend using “Automatically send this device a Duo push”.
11-Click “Finish Enrollment”.
Now that Duo is installed on your device, see our other Duo guides here.
