If you have a Honeywell alarm from Westechs then you probably have Total Connect. You can now use your Amazon Alexa to control your entire security system using your voice and the Alexa Honeywell Total Connect 2.0 skill. To get started download or open the Alexa app and search for the Total Connect 2.0 in the skills section. After clicking “enable” follow the prompts until you have successfully linked your account. Once linked, you can use the following commands:
Alexa, ask Honeywell, what is the status of my security system? Alexa, ask Honeywell, is my security system armed? Alexa, tell Honeywell to arm. Alexa, tell Honeywell to Arm Stay. Alexa, tell Honeywell, to Arm Away.
Security remains our priority. Alexa cannot be used to disarm the security system. This can be done with the Honeywell Total Connect 2.0 app on your smart device, via the Total Connect website or directly on your alarm keypad.
